The Motorla Droid 4 has been made official by Verizon. Even though it’s been announced we still don’t have an official release date or any pricing information.

Hulu Plus is now available for Android or more specifically for six Android devices. The app is currently available for the Nexus One, Nexus S, HTC Inspire 4G, Motorola Droid 2, Motorola Droid X and the Motorola Atrix. Hulu expects to add additional Android smartphones to this list as the year progresses. Sounds a lot like the Netflix launch a while back.

If you recently installed the stable iteration of CyanogenMod 7, you may have found some minor bugs which were well, “bugging” you. Now CyanogenMod sits at version 7.0.2 which fixes many of these bugs and even brings a stable release to the original Motorola Droid. Here is the official word:

It’s been about two weeks since we rolled out the first stable version of CyanogenMod-7, and it unfortunately came with a few bugs. 7.0.1 brings many bugfixes, including GPS fixes for many devices, a handful a new features, and support for a few devices that weren’t quite ready in time for 7.0 (original Droid).

Yesterday, Motorola Droid 3 pictures were surfacing on the internet and were all missing the Droid’s signature QWERTY keyboard. But that was so yesterday, today we have a picture of the Droid 3 showing a 5-row QWERTY keyboard which is one more row than it’s predecessors, the Droid and Droid 2. Now we can type in numbers without having to hit the pesky alt key. The keys still look nicely spread so this shouldn’t take away from the overall typing experience.

There have been rumors that this device will lack 4G LTE but like all things, that could change before this baby launches. Personally, I would take that rumor with a grain of salt as I’m betting on 4G for this Android smartphone. [Howard Forums]

If you are the proud owner of the one and only original Motorola Droid, you can now flash Android 2.3.2 (Gingerbread) on your Android smartphone. Peter Alfonso of Bugless Beast Custom ROM fame has a 100% pure Gingerbread ROM for your Droid ready for download.

So how is this build different from other Gingerbread ROMs?

For starters, this build was made using the master branch of the AOSP only two days ago, meaning it not only brings you to version 2.3.2 but it also has the latest bug fixes included. Once you flash this ROM you will immediately see how much time I spent making this build exactly how Motorola would have provided it to you (if they still supported our “old” device). This ROM has the stock signature Droid boot animation, ringtones, wallpaper set, 2D Launcher, and Neural Network live wallpaper. Additionally, I have implemented many of my own bug fixes and others provided by the development community. I also went ahead and enabled the Sound Recorder and Camcorder shortcuts because I find them useful.

As with any new ROM there could be the occasional bug but for the most part this Gingerbread ROM has gotten rave reviews thus far. Users of Verizon’s Motorola Droid are in the process of getting the Android 2.2.1 OTA update.

According to Verizon:

Verizon Wireless will begin pushing an update for the DROID by Motorola today. Enhancements include an updated Twitter® application, improved Exchange Active Sync® functionality, updated Gmail user interface and more. For more information about this update customers can go to www.verizonwireless.com/droidsupport.

If you’ve held off installing the Adobe Flash leak that has been going around, you’ll be able to download Flash Player 10.1 directly from the Android Market starting today. Verizon will begin pushing out FRG22D today and once the update is installed on your device, you’ll be able to search for “Flash Player 10.1″ in the Android Market and enjoy the many features of flash support. Along with Adobe Flash access, the update will give your Droid improved security.

The roll out of the FRG22D build starts today, so if you don’t see it right away you will shortly. [DroidLife]

Verizon has made the Motorola Droid 2 official and it will be available starting August 12th, this Thursday, as previously rumored. It will go on pre-sale via Verizon Wireless’s website starting tomorrow and the R2-D2 version will be available sometime in September for all you Star Wars fans. Pricing will be $199 with new (or upgrade) 2-year contract after a $100 mail-in-rebate debit card. The Droid 2 comes with Android 2.2, Flash 10.1, VZW’s 3G mobile hotspot option (extra cost involved) and 8GB of onboard storage paired with an 8GB preinstalled microSD card. [Verizon]
