Google Music has been updated in Android Market to version 4.1.512, bringing fixes to the shuffle mode and fixes for multiple Google accounts. The update is for all devices running Android 2.2 or higher. I personally love Google Music on my Galaxy Nexus and the fact I can store my music in the “Cloud”.

Google Maps Updated

Google Maps has seen an update to version 6.1.1. This new version fixes “bugs on tablets and phones” according to the latest change log. This includes an issue starting the Navigation app on certain Honeycomb devices as well as an issue with phone numbers on the search result page. So, if you have been experiencing any issues on your tablet or phone, hopefully this will take care of them.

You should see an automatic update notification if Google Maps is already installed. Otherwise, use the links below to grab your update.

Google has updated the Google Earth app, fixing a bug that caused the app to crash during startup on Tegra 2 devices. NVIDIA uses special instructions for the Tegra chip, but the Google Earth App and Tegra weren’t playing nicely together.

At any rate, Google seems to have it all fixed and you can now safely explore our beautiful planet on your Tegra based devices.

Today, a new entry-level Android device from Samsung has been announced, the 3.65-inch Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus. The Galaxy Ace Plus as Android 2.3 Gingerbread on-board and the latest TouchWiz 4.0 interface on a 3.65-inch HVGA display.

The phone’s sports a 1GHz CPU and comes equipped with a 5MP rear-facing camera (no front-facing camera), along with 512MB RAM and 3GB internal storage (including 1GB for apps, and expandable using a microSD card). Samsung expects to release the Galaxy Ace Plus in Russia this month, followed by a gradual roll-out in Europe, Latin America, Asia, the Middle East and Africa later in the year.

Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich will be launching soon and some Google apps are already being updated to the new Android 4.0 UI including Google+. The social application was updated today in the Android Market and features the usual bug fixes as well as the revamped Ice Cream Sandwich UI.

Samsung and Google have just announced the Samsung Galaxy Nexus at the Samsung Unpacked event in Hong Kong. The Galaxy Nexus is powered by stock Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The Galaxy Nexus is the device we’ve previously heard called the Nexus Prime, a phone that’s appeared in a number of leaks over the past few months.

The main event in Hong Kong is Ice Cream Sandwich, the new version of Android which includes a “brand new People app with Google+ integration”, as well as panoramic photo support, and “face unlock” facial recognition capability. The Galaxy Nexus is only 8.94mm thick, and sports a massive 4.65-inch HD SuperAMOLED display running at 720p resolution. Inside there’s a 1.2 GHz dual-core CPU, along with 1GB of RAM and 16 or 32GB of internal storage. It’s got a 5-megapixel shooter on the back, along with a front-facing camera for video calls and HSPA+ and LTE connectivity.

The Galaxy Nexus is due to arrive in November in the US, Europe and Asia, with a global rollout following later.

Today, Google announced that they have made Hangouts available for phones running Android 2.3 and above. This will definitely make the feature more widely used since it can be done anywhere and on-the-go.

To use the feature, once you see a Hangout in your Stream, just click Join and your good to go!

The new version of the Google+ app is rolling out today. Also, Google+ registration is now open to anyone. For those who don’t have the app yet, you can use the links below. Hangouts will arrive soon on iOS but for now only on Android devices.

In addition to Hangouts, here are some other new features found in the update:

US and India users can post, respond and receive notifications via SMS (you need to verify your phone number in settings)
