It’s old news by now that Verizon and Skype would be partnering to bring Skype’s VOIP application to their devices including the Motorola Droid, Droid Eris and Devour . It’s an exclusive deal between the two and now Verizon has a video on their YouTube giving us a peak on how they will be working together.

Still not sure when Skype will be released on Verizon’s devices but stay tuned.

You can file this in the rumor mills but BGR is reporting a source close to HTC as saying that while Google will be selling an AT&T 3G-compatible Nexus One directly through theirÂ web store , the actual AT&T device will be the HTC Desire. AT&T users will now have HTCâ€™s Sense UI, but the physical attributes of the device might change from the HTC Desire that weâ€™ve seen to date. They were told to expect the HTC Desire around May or June.

As for Sprint, they will be carrying the HTC Hero2 which will a slightly modified HTC Legend. No release date for the Sprint HTC Hero2 as of yet.

This is rumor, but looks to make perfect sense in an Android sort of way.

The Samsung Galaxy I5700 Spica is on tap for and Android 2.1 update. The device was launched in November 2009 with Android 1.5. The Samsung Galaxy I5700 is considered a mid-level device with decent specs but currently isn’t available in the US.

It’s no secret that Google and China are having a little tiff, with Google even going as far as delaying two Android phones in China.Â Lenovo on the otherhand is moving right along with the Lenovo LePhone which is set to release in May of this year on China Mobile, China Telecom, & China Unicom.

The Lenovo LePhone will sport a 3.7 inch 480×800 touchscreen, 1GHz Snapdragon processor, and a 3MP camera. The picture above shows the optional keyboard. Worldwide releases will follow the China launch later in the year.

Thwapr is a new mobile-to-mobile video sharing platform that allows users to capture and share video and photos on mobile phones without the need for any applications. The service is geared to work with any device and only requires a camera and web browser. Thawpr is a free app and allows you to interact with recipients by sending (“Thwapping”) media to their devices, and they are then able to reply with a “Thwapback”. Thwapr can be used as a break from conventional text messaging, allowing users to send and receive videos for more enriched communication. The service detects the formats, screen size and browser on the receiving device, so there is no need to install any additional applications.

Thwapr is currently still in beta and is available only for the US and Canada.

During CES, Motorola announced they would be sending an update to their Android devices to enable Flash with Flash Player 10.1.Â As you can see from the video (after the break), Flash has been optimized for the Droid chipset and runs smoothly.

Flash on the Droid looks like it is ready for prime time. I can’t wait for this as well as Android 2.1, so come on Motorola!

There really hasn’t been a decent synchronization desktop application to manage photos, videos, music and apps for Android.Â Well now Dazzboard 2.0â€™s software, which was announced late last week, looks to be exactly that.

The Beta iteration is already available if you want to give it a try but for now it will work only with Microsoft Windows with Internet Explorer and/or Firefox but a MAC OS X version is in the works. If your computer doesnâ€™t have the requirements, you will be able to use a demo of the interface.

We have all seen more than our share of Nexus One photos, and like any other highly touted device, it gets ripped apart for our viewing pleasure. The Nexus One just received its very own dissection and the folks at iFixit found it to be an easy job.

According to iFixit:

“Once we took the fancy wrapper off the phone, the Nexus One revealed itself to be very similar to other smartphones, albeit with stronger hardware. It’s thoughtful internal design did impress us, as did its ease of disassembly.”

The Nexus One revealed a Samsung OLED display, Qualcomm 1GHz Snapdragon Processor, and 802.11n Wi-Fi chip. That’s a lot of power in such a thin device.
