Acer has announced a next generation Iconia Tab with some nice specs. The Acer Iconia Tab will feature a 10.1-inch 1920×1080 (1080p) display and a quad-core ARM processor. The exact type of processor wasn’t announced, but you can probably count on the NVIDIA Tegra 3. It also should be running Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich and dual cameras.

Not many details were revealed in the announcement but this looks to be a promising tablet coming to Android!

Motorola has four new iterations of the XYBOARD tablet up for preorder. These puppies lose Verizon’s “Droid” branding and the accompanying cellular radios but are cheaper as well. There are both 10.1- and 8.2-inch versions and no Verizon apps.

Today, a new entry-level Android device from Samsung has been announced, the 3.65-inch Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus. The Galaxy Ace Plus as Android 2.3 Gingerbread on-board and the latest TouchWiz 4.0 interface on a 3.65-inch HVGA display.

The phone’s sports a 1GHz CPU and comes equipped with a 5MP rear-facing camera (no front-facing camera), along with 512MB RAM and 3GB internal storage (including 1GB for apps, and expandable using a microSD card). Samsung expects to release the Galaxy Ace Plus in Russia this month, followed by a gradual roll-out in Europe, Latin America, Asia, the Middle East and Africa later in the year.

Last week was the Motorola RAZR and this week it’s the HTC Rezound’s turn. The Rezound is now available at Verizon Wireless for $249 with a 2-year contract, after $50 rebate.

The HTC Rezound is HTC’s first smartphone with a 720p resolution display, just like the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Nexus. As for the camera, you’re looking at an 8-megapixel sensor and 1080p video recording. There is a 2-megapixel camera in the front of the device. Other core features include a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm MSM 8660 processor, 1GB of DDR2 RAM, 16GB of internal storage and a 16GB mircoSD card. It will ship with Android 2.3, Gingerbread.

HTC has officially announced the HTC Rezound which will land on Verizon on November 14th. The Rezound sports a a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm MSM 8660 processor, 1GB of DDR2 RAM, 16GB of internal storage and a 16GB mircoSD card. It will ship with Android 2.3, Gingerbread but HTC says it’s committed to an Ice Cream Sandwich update as soon as possible.

The HTC Rezound is HTC’s first smartphone with a 720p resolution display, just like the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. As for the camera, you’re looking at an 8-megapixel sensor and 1080p video recording. There is a 2-megapixel camera in the front of the device.

And, of course, there’s that Beats audio. “You should have the best audio experience in your mobile experience,” they said at the launch event. You also get a set of Beats earbuds with your Rezound.

The HTZ Rezound will cost $299.99 on contract.

Samsung and Google have just announced the Samsung Galaxy Nexus at the Samsung Unpacked event in Hong Kong. The Galaxy Nexus is powered by stock Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The Galaxy Nexus is the device we’ve previously heard called the Nexus Prime, a phone that’s appeared in a number of leaks over the past few months.

The main event in Hong Kong is Ice Cream Sandwich, the new version of Android which includes a “brand new People app with Google+ integration”, as well as panoramic photo support, and “face unlock” facial recognition capability. The Galaxy Nexus is only 8.94mm thick, and sports a massive 4.65-inch HD SuperAMOLED display running at 720p resolution. Inside there’s a 1.2 GHz dual-core CPU, along with 1GB of RAM and 16 or 32GB of internal storage. It’s got a 5-megapixel shooter on the back, along with a front-facing camera for video calls and HSPA+ and LTE connectivity.

The Galaxy Nexus is due to arrive in November in the US, Europe and Asia, with a global rollout following later.

The DROID RAZR by Motorola is now official on Verizon. It has all the specs you would expect of a top line Android device including 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, 4G LTE, 4.3″ Super AMOLED “Advanced” display, and a whole bunch of built-in software. Pre-orders start October 27 for $299 on contract with availability happening some time in November.

We are on the heels of the official Samsung Galaxy Nexus and Ice Cream Sandwich announcement in Hong Kong, so it makes sense that we are seeing more realistic leaks as we come closer to go time. The leak supposedly comes from Japanese carrier NTT DoCoMo, which says it’ll be available November 20th (See times at the bottom of this post for the official announcement from Google).
