Motorola is announcing the Motorola Defy, which is their second Android device built to withstand the elements (The first being the Motorola i1).
This baby comes stock with a 3.7 inch Gorilla Glass display sporting 854×480 resolution. The device is also resistant to scratches, impact, dust and water up to a meter deep for as long as a half hour without missing as beat.
Swype is included as a keyboard option if you’re a finger slider like me and the OMAP 3610 chip is clocked at 800MHz. The Defy will be launching in Europe in the fourth quarter with Android 2.1. Unfortunately there is no word yet on a Froyo upgrade but I would suspect it would be shortly after launch. [Motorola via Engadget]
