Lookout, the mobile security folks for smartphones says that Android apps by jakeey (one or more of these apps listed) are stealing your data and sending it to unknown persons in China.

According to Lookout, the applications in question are collecting:

  • browsing history
  • text messages
  • your SIM card data
  • subscriber ID
  • voicemail password

It’s only a matter of time before Google yanks these apps from the Android Market but they potentially affect at least 1.1 million users.
