You can file this in the rumor mills but BGR is reporting a source close to HTC as saying that while Google will be selling an AT&T 3G-compatible Nexus One directly through their web store , the actual AT&T device will be the HTC Desire. AT&T users will now have HTC’s Sense UI, but the physical attributes of the device might change from the HTC Desire that we’ve seen to date. They were told to expect the HTC Desire around May or June.

As for Sprint, they will be carrying the HTC Hero2 which will a slightly modified HTC Legend. No release date for the Sprint HTC Hero2 as of yet.

This is rumor, but looks to make perfect sense in an Android sort of way.
