When the Nexus One launched earlier this week the WIFI was listing as compatible with 802.11n, meaning you’d be getting the latest and greatest (and fastest) wireless connection. It was listed in the technical specs and confirmed in a hardware teardown. As it now turns out, it is only 802.11b/g, which is now reflected in the tech specs.

If it’s any consolidation, remember that the iPod touch has the same WIFI specs but  hopefully we’ll see 802.11n at some point in the future.
