Flurry Analytics compiled statistics to see how customers behaved on Christmas versus a typical Friday. The Motorola Droid accounts for about 20% of all Android phones yet nearly half of the app downloads on Christmas day were registered to the device. Interesting and for whatever reasons, Motorola Droid users were the most compelled to try out a new application over the holiday season.

Other holiday findings from Flurry Analytics included:

• Droid application downloads increased by 93% over previous Fridays in December.
• Android Market Growth increased by over 20% in December over November.
• Droid accounted for 48% of download volume across the leading Android handsets (Droid, myTouch 3G, G1 and HTC Hero).
